Abstract

In the work are analyzed the possibilities of revamp the sugar cane industry, starting from the use of the bagasse in the furfural productions, boards, bioetanol, and other co-products, taking advantage of the capacities and the equipment installed in this industry. They are evaluated experimentally the best results obtained in the bagasse hydrolysis stage of the bioetanol technology obtaining starting from residuals lignocelulósicos to scale pilot, achieving the furfural obtaining and a residual one fibrous that can be taken advantage for the bioetanol production and/or boards. It is carried out a technician-economic and environmental evaluation of the possibilities of revamp a diversified sugar cane industry with the incorporation of new cleaner productions that will allow giving a use to the existent equipment in the sugar cane industry.
