Abstract

This work objective is to evaluate the energy system and water circulation in Quintín Bandera factory. As a result of energy evaluation and the condensed system, the equipment’s vapor consumption were determined. As a result the boiler generation was 136 761.41 kg/h, whit an efficiency of 78%. Fuel demand and generation index in boilers were 57 628.10 kg bagasse/h and 2.38 kgv/kgb respectively. The condensed generated quantity was determined as 179 215.97 kg/h which is enough to replace the necessity of water to feed the boilers. By means of the energy balance it was determined that 19 291.92 kg/h are vapor losses in condensation, from the general boilers vapor line to the Electric Plant and from it until process equipment. These losses are determined by the collector for general vapor with the suitable characteristics to evacuate the production from three boilers absence, as well as the insufficient thermal isolation for pipes and equipment, besides vapor losses and atmosphere flights.
