Abstract

The present research like part of the work that develops to the GTCE “product obtaining of AVA” of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of the UCLV, approaches the development of the industrial biological process, by means of the use of malted sorghum: the bioethanol production. It is carried out the study of the obtaining of malt white sorghum UDG-110, developed in the CIAP of the UCLV, being used the same in the scarification of sorghum, for the ethanol production, obtaining itself results adapted as far as the alcoholic degree and productivity of the process, near which is obtained from the sugar cane in discontinuous fermentation, but with low yields. The use sorghum malt for this production can significantlylowerthe import of barley and other raw materials, to reduce production costs
