Energetic and environmental sustainability in sugar factory

Abstract

In this paper we make a diagnosis of steam generation area in sugar factory. It was detected as the main problem from the standpoint of environmental sustainability non-energy use of bagasse in energy production which involves high consumption of firewood. We propose a transport system for transport and storage of bagasse which makes their use in the boiler Caren with consequent cost savings and environmental improvements sensitive to avoid negative environmental impact associated with the consumption of firewood. It presents the economic analysis of the proposed investment.
