Abstract

In this work the analyzed technology is proposed in the UCLV to obtain bioethanol from biomass, the bagasse considering the discontinuous systems and the delay phenomena. This technology have two stages that are main for the success in the obtaining of fermentable sugars, they are pretreatment and the enzymatic hydrolysis and then the fermentation. The great obstruction of the last two stages is that to obtain better results, they need long residence times (and here it is where the delay phenomenon appears). For this reason the analysis need a study of how to carry out the process to guarantee that the global process is continuous. The stage of hydrolysis enzymatic has 24 hours duration, and that of fermentation is carried out in 12 hours. In this work, has been studied the technology of bioethanol take in consideration basic concepts of the discontinuous systems. Different technological configurations were studied, leaving of different recirculations of currents for the decrease of resources like the fresh water and the vapor. It was obtained that the presaccharification process is the best configuration, of agreement with technical and economic approaches. The profitability process is achieved having considering the total process as a biorrefinery that allows the production of other such byproducts of high added value as the furfural and lignin.
