Abstract

In this work is carried out the evaluation of hardfacing welds obtained by shielded metal arc welding process (SMAW) using the CIS1 experimental tubular electrodes, for the recovery or production of sugar cane knives. The welds are studied from the metallographical point of view, analyzing the effect of the piece geometry in the microstructural characteristic, in the dilution coefficient and consequently in their abrasive wear resistance.
