This paper deals with a preliminary study on the technical, economical and environmental effect that provokes the deviation of the secondary juices for diversification on the production process of raw sugar of the Siboney Sugar Mill, in the municipality of Sibanicú, Camagüey. This is a premise for the development of flexibility sugar industry, necessary for increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of it. It was carried out balances of materials in the areas of milling, alkalization and clarification, as well as an evaluation of the thermoenergetic system at the sugar mill, by using simulation with TERMOAZÚCAR V4.0.3 software, which permitted comparing, technically, the operation manners for different analyzed variants. Thus, we notice that an increase of the milling improves, to a great extent, the functioning of the thermoenergetic system, even with the extraction of the secondary juice. Carrying out an economic analysis, values that corroborate the possibility of the proposed deviation for the diversification and flexibility operation of the sugar mill were obtained.
