Abstract

The management of solid wastes generated in current society, is a reason of concern because of the negative impact it has on the environment. The aim of this study is to diagnose how the process of managing this waste takes place in Cabinda town. These methods such as direct observation, the literature review and the application of techniques of data collection, interviews and surveys with the operating companies of the sector, population and government executives were used. As a result of this work it was found that the process of management of solid waste that is carried out in the municipality does not comply with the provisions for each of its
stages and the picking up of wastes only covers 60% of the amount generated and these are aspects that threaten against the proper management of these solid residuals.
