Abstract

The sheet metal forming processes are an important group of manufacturing processes for dissimilar applications. Deep drawing is a compression-tension forming process involving large spectrum of operations and flow conditions. The result of the process depends on the large number of parameters and their interdependence, the knowledge and experience of the designer is critical. The present paper explain the  elements to be consider on multicriterial design of sheet metal drawing processes using artificial intelligent tools, the results achieve evidence the advantages and risk in the use of modern optimization tools.
