Abstract

In the present work it is carried out an analysis of the possibilities of increasing the electricity delivery to the electric national system, ENS, by means of the identification of potentials of electric, mechanics and thermal energy saving; with that objective electro balances of the installation, the main consumers of mechanical energy are analyzed and it is studied the fundamental aspects of the consumption of thermal energy. They are obtained as the most important results that the study of these potentials constitutes an important tool to identify the roads and methods to increase the electricity delivery to the ENS and to apply it to the factory Melanio Hernández. It allowed to identify in this mill one annual potential of electricity supply bigger than 4.33 GWh of energy, that would easy up gross incomes for more than 207 800.00 USD for sugar season of 120 days and 85 % of usage of the potential capacity, representing these potentials a generation of 1,5 MW of electricity.
