Abstract

With the increasing demand of database applications that collects data related to several processes by users from different geographical locations, distribution design becomes an essential part of the database design. This paper considers the design of data distribution about the quality control of cane sugar production. Gathering appropriate information at each step of the production process supports decision making and contributes to the quality control as essential for quality official recognition. The contribution lies in using SQL Server replication as feasible for the distribution of data as an essential technique to improve performance and availability.
