Abstract

In the design process of growing chambers for in vitro sugar cane cultivation is necessary to know about the earth-sun positioning and the local solar radiation climatology. The models of earth-sun positioning and an statistic study of the local solar resource are presented in this paper, also the diary and hourly total radiation series are characterized by Santa Clara city, employing the descriptive statistic methodology for observed data of the meteorological station of Santa Clara in the period of 1977 to 2003.
