CONTRIBUTION OF MAINTENANCE FOCUSED ON RELIABILITY FOR THE STUDY OF FAILURES TO ELECTRICAL ENERGY CONSUMER EQUIPMENT
Keywords:
Maintenance management, Electric power, Maintenance Focused on ReliabilityAbstract
Introduction:
Maintenance is the technological activity aimed at ensuring the performance of production or service assets and, in fact, is the only palliative for an economically
rational way to attenuate the deterioration rate of equipment technical state. This article includes the results of an investigation conducted in a hotel of cuban sun and beach modality.
Objective:
To conduct a failures study in equipment identified as those with the highest electricity consumption.
Materials and Methods:
Several tools were used such as: group work for decision making complemented with an analysis of criticality levels for both maintenance hotel area and energy hotel area, in addition to staff interviews and document consultation. They offer scientific support to research.
Results and Discussion:
The Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology was used, which included the equipment functions determination, functional failures, the effects of such failures and their consequences for safety, environment, service and costs of maintenance.
Conclusions:
Finally, the identification of the most critical equipment was obtained based on electricity consumption, which constitutes about 85% of hotel energy structure, identifying its failure causes, and maintenance based on the criticality level according to failures consequence.
