Abstract

This research was carried out in the Sugar Mill Company Panamá. This enterprise works in order to increase the quality in the productions and in the services. Its objective is to elaborate an action plan that contributes to the design of the System of Management Quality in this enterprise, taking into consideration the requisites from ISO 9001: 2008 norm. To design this system a preliminary analysis was carried out, it started from a characterization about the enterprise to know its mission, its vision, its quality policy, its quality goals, its social object and its organizational structure. Afterwards, the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats were analyzed; as a result theSWOT matrix was obtained due to it is a useful tool when to take decisions is needed. A questionnaire made by specialists from the Information Center and Technological Management was applied taking into consideration the requisites from ISO 9001: 2008 norm, in order to make a diagnosis to determine which requisites are fulfilled and which are unfulfilled. Finally, an action plan was created to assure the design and the implementation of the System of Management Quality in the Sugar Mill Company Panamá.
