Abstract

The present work is the result of the analysis of the teaching and methodological activity in the subject Plant Design (Process Engineering VII). The analysis identifies an insufficient treatment of Process Safety aspects in the subject knowledge and ability systems. According to this insufficiency, a design procedure, based on the study of international experience that includes the aspects for process safety was performed. Modifications included in the ways of teaching of the subject contribute to motivation, comprehension and systematizing the contents of process safety in Plant Design teaching activities; at the same time, the integration with preceding subjects of Processes Engineering and Automation Fundamentals Disciplines is consolidated.
