Abstract

The study was carried out in the Territorial Research Station of Sugar Cane on the Inceptisol soil. It was established 9 treatments with organic materials and natural minerals. The soil structure was improved significantly when natural minerals and organic materials were applied in comparison with the chemical fertilization. The application of the sugar cane filter cake 15 t.ha-1 + Zeolith 2 t.ha-1 and the compost 4 t.ha-1 + calcareous phosphate rock 2 t.ha-1 caused a positive residual effect on the soil structure factor and the agricultural and industrial yield for more than 3 years. A proportional relationship existed between the soil quality and the agricultural yield of the sugar cane.
