Abstract

This work shows the effect of the type of grain size, classification is according to ASTM and 112, on the fatigue strenght of the steel 30G, considered the more used in the manufacture of the shaft of the sugar cane mills. On the other hand the heat treatment is valued by means of which, the steel is valued 30G it changes of appreciable form the grain size, taking itself as reference the structure from the alloy in delivery state. For the study of the effect of the structure, in individual with respect to the fatigue strenght, the maquina of test by rotatory flexion UBM-1 has been used, which exists in the laboratory of resistance of materials of the faculty of Mechanical engineering of the Central University of Las Villas.
