Abstract

It is carried out the determination of geometry of deposits of coated tubular electrodes for hardfacing of pieces in sugar industry. Two versions of coated tubular electrodes (ferroalloy particle size in the soul d”0,1 mm and
in the range of 0,1- 0,25 mm) are evaluated. This study is made in comparative way, using the DIN E60-10 Z commercial coated electrode, which has same diameter (4mm) and same application (hardfacing, widely applied in sugar industry) as this studied. The Coefficient of Dilution is obtained as the ratio of penetration area and total fused area. Starting of the dilution is obtained the composition of de alloying elements in the deposits.
