Abstract

In the Presently work is made a study of the problem with respect to the search and selection of technological information of the materials use in the sugar industry, fundamentally the relatives to the welding processes: steel as base material and the filler materials, so much manual as automatic. As a result of this study is determined the necessity of creating information systems with the information of classification, chemical composition, mechanical properties, etc., of this materials and is present a methodology of development of these systems, being also shown some applications, developed based on this methodology, and implanted in different companies of the country. Those own informative systems serve in turn as base for the development of other systems of more advanced selections, based on elements of the theory of deductive databases that allows the selection of the appropriate filler material, according to specific rules given by experts.
