Abstract

On the base of Pappus Guldinus theorem and considering the Torispherical heads and bottoms as revolution bodies the article present a work sequence to obtain the mathematics expressions that permit calculate the volumetric capacity of these elements, as much as the standardized or not elements by the ASME code. The volumetric capacity is calculate using two different methods, the first is taking as base a computational program, the Mechanical Desktop and the other is the development by the authors, the results are shown in a comparative table. Finally others mathematical formulations, development by the authors, and that could be used in the volumetric capacity calculus of elliptical , hemispherical and spherical heads and bottoms are shown in a table.
