PROCEDURE OF EVALUATION AND ADAPTATION OF TECHNOLOGY FOR THE INCREMENT OF ASPHALTIC LIQUID PRODUCTION
Keywords:
asphalt, technological assimilation, heavy crude oil, methodology, heuristic procedureAbstract
Introduction:
In view of the complexities of technological evaluation for technologies assimilation to facilitate the increase of production capacity in oil refineries that handle heavy crude oil to produce asphalt, it is necessary to define the methodological principles and strategic actions for this process conduct.
Objective:
To develop a procedure for technologies evaluation and adaptation that allows the increment of asphaltic liquid production starting from Cuban crude oil in “Sergio Soto” Refinery, or in any similar installation.
Materials and Methods:
Conceptual bases and a heuristic procedure were elaborated for the technological adaptation in facilities asphalt producers that require increments of their production capacity considering the logical integration and ordinate of development, evaluation and assimilation of technologies steps.
Results and Discussion:
The methodological bases for the evaluation and adaptation of technologies and a heuristic procedure were developed to facilitate the productive capacity increment for crude oil refineries in a logical sequence that includes the exact definition of the appropriate capacity starting from relationships market-readiness of crude oil, diagnostic and technological and environmental evaluation for different technological modifications.
Conclusions:
The methodological bases for the evaluation and adaptation of technologies in the increment of the productive capacity of crude oil refineries must consider managerial aspects, as market, technological and environmental evaluation and technical and economic feasibility.
