Cocoa is a plant that grows in tropical environments and is mainly used to produce chocolate, while wastes are not used wasting the properties that they could offer. The purpose of this research was to standardize active ingredients for phytopharmaceutical industrialization from cocoa husks, obtained by soxhlet extraction and ultrasoundassisted extraction. Using as a mixture (methanol-acetone-water) and as a solvent, 96% ethanol, dealing to determine the physicochemical characteristics (organoleptic analysis, moisture, dry matter, protein, fat, ash, fiber, carbohydrates, pH, Ca, Mg, K , Fe, Mn), phytochemical characteristics (identification of alkaloids, anthocyanins, reducing sugars, phenols), antioxidant capacity by Folin Ciocalteu and ABTS methods and antibacterial activity in Gram negative bacteria (E. coli) with standard concentration of 263.15 mg / L. Obtained results are useful for regulations elaboration that standardize phytopharmaceutical extracts.
