Abstract

In this paper was carried out a complete evaluation of technologies to produce ethanol via fermentation taking into account the technical, economical and environmental aspects. To begin this, we made a deep analysis of the materials we have referring this topic, so that we could previously select all the possibilities we can evaluate. After this we consider the strongest one and the ones with more opportunities. These are the following: ethanol from sugar cane molasses, ethanol from a mix of sugar cane molasses, juice from filters and secondary juice and ethanol from sugar cane molasses, juice from filters and bagasse.A design and selection of the equipment was carried out in each. The last step was and economical evaluation where the final cost of investment and production was found. On this way was evaluated the feasibility of each process.
