Abstract

Paper introduces the motivation for the benefits of linking FEA and testing in structures. Typical application is found in the field of the static analysis of structures, specifically to a metallic railroad bridge that transports cane, molasses, sugar and other necessary merchandize for the sugar harvest development. A procedure for calibrating of the model through the analysis of sensibility or convergence and from measure with strain gages is presented. The correspondence between both procedures and results improves.
