Abstract

In the work a study of selection of control alternatives is made, that allow to implement an optimal strategy of control, following approaches novel of the theory of optimizating control, for the crystallization process of massecuite “A” sugar company, taking into account a dynamic simulation of a phenomenological mathematical model which describes this process. Six schemes of automatic control for the study are analyzed considering the fundamental variables of the process of crystallization in vacuums pans that have been object of regulation in schemes of automatic control, as well as the variables regulating but used to reach this objective. The adjustment of the schemes of automatic control became under two of the approaches of the theory of optimizante control: the real Time optimization and the self optimization, supported in the dynamic simulation. As result four schemes were obtained that guarantee of robust and satisfactory way the quality of the crystallization process and include increases in the sugar production and a favorable economic effect, considering disturbances in the variables of entrance to the stage study object.
