Abstract

Decision making is a complex process, particularly when the number of variables and the reports among them, grow with the complexity of the analyzed problems. Within the framework of Supply Chain Management, the amount and report of the variables of a decisional process, it makes the decision more complex. In the case of the sugar industry, the strategic decisions have a documented affluent file of problems related to their management, not being thus with their solutions. The modeling of these problems and the creation of a common repository for them will help to the best understanding of the problems of the SCM at strategic level, as well as create a conditioned frame of learning in the search of its solutions facilitates.
