Abstract

In the present paper the results of a study on the state of the art in the electricity cogeneration with the use of the sugar cane biomass as fuel are shown. It has put on emphasis in to know the international situation and to value the used technologies, the investment cost, the powers and the parameters of the used cycle. Some considerations on the importance and advantages of the cogeneration in the sugar cane industry are given, as well as, the fact that a sucroenergetic industry is starting from the traditional sugar industry.
