Abstract

In this work the characterization of the materials that km 9.568 metallic railroad bridge by means of diverse mechanical, chemists and metallographic test is carried out. This bridge counts with more than a hundred years and still it is transported cane, molasses, sugar and other necessary merchandize for the sugar harvest development. The tensile test is also modeled by means of the Finite Elements Method and finally, through a inverse engineering process is defined, which are similar of the current materials to the bridge materials to value their repair.
